APR 20, 27 & MAY 4 -- Birding 101

We’re sorry, this class is sold out. Please contact Brenna at bmarsicek@madisonaudubon.org or 608-25-2473 to be added to the waiting list.

If you love all things nature and want to get to know the birds you'll find in and around Madison, this class is for you. This is a three-part session with both classroom and field-based learning, and geared toward adults. Each day involves a slightly more advanced set of skills and information, but this course is intended for entry-level birders. Please bring binoculars, if possible, as well as a small notebook and pencil for taking notes. This is a judgement-free bird learning experience; join us!

Each class period will involve about 1 hour of indoor classroom learning (which may run slightly late, depending on the number of questions), and 1 hour of outdoor birding (which may run slightly late, depending on the birding). Know that you are welcome to stay for as long as the birding is good, but the official class period is 8-10am.

Dates: Saturdays, April 20, April 27, and May 4
Time: 8:00-10:00 a.m.
Location: UW Arboretum (1207 Seminole Highway, Madison)
Registration fee: $20.00 per person for all 3 dates
