QUESTIONS?:  Please call the MAS office at (608)255-2473 if you have questions.

Want more birds in your yard? A greater variety of birds? Would you like to spend less time mowing and watering in the process?

Mariette Nowak, author of an upcoming book titled Birdscaping in the Midwest, a Guide to Gardening with Native Plants to Attract Birds will provide the knowledge you need to make your back yard flora ideally indigenous.

Learn about native plants that offer natural habitat and a year-long smorgasbord of berries, nuts, seeds and insects for birds. Discover the problems created by cultivated and invasive non-native plants.

Ms. Nowak developed her expertise during 18 years as director of Milwaukee County’s Wehr Nature Center. She now serves on the boards of the Wisconsin Society of Ornithology and the Land Trust of Walworth County and was Vice President of the Wild Ones.

Next meeting: March 20, 2007 - MAS Banquet, with Laura Erickson!
