Field Trips

Spring Migrants - Pat Ready

Let the spring migration begin! This field trip will focus on birding the Lake Farms County Park area and nearby open water. Nine Springs and Lake Waubesa are possibilities for early shorebirds and ducks. On the trails we may find Yellow-rumped Warblers, Phoebes, thrushes and a variety of sparrows. Maybe even an Osprey! Bring a scope for viewing the lake.

This trip will be from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Meet at the Lussier Heritage Center parking lot. Take the Beltline Hwy to South Towne Dr. and head south. Turn left on Moorland Rd. The Heritage Center is about a half mile up on the left. For more information call Patrick Ready, (608) 873-1703.
